Is This The Moment You Come Home To Yourself?

There was a time I believed I had to be louder to be heard. More outgoing to be liked. More expressive, more magnetic, more impressive.

I thought confidence had a specific look, and I didn’t fit the image.

So I tried to perform it.

I adjusted the way I showed up, even when it didn’t feel real, I would use alcohol to become the version of confident that I thought was ‘acceptable.’

But the version of me I was becoming wasn’t me at all.

This painting of two wolves came from that feeling. Not the mask, but the shedding of it. Not the performance, but the soft return.

The wolves trust their intuition. They don’t demand to be seen. They lean into one another. They move with presence and quiet knowing.

They trust who they are. And that’s enough.

That’s what I’ve been learning too.

I used to think I had to compete with louder personalities.

But the more I tried to be someone I’m not, the more I lost myself. I became disconnected from who I was, and my deep need to be enough demanded my attention. It was like I discarded my soul and started to live in a way I thought other people expected of me.

But really what I craved was permission. I needed permission to be me. Quietly confident. Introspective. Soft but strong. The kind of strength you have when you’re unapologetically you. You’re not trying to force someone out of you that fits other peoples opinions. You’re simply being the version that’s always been apart of who you are.

So I stopped trying to please other people. I’m not a monkey in a circus; I’m reflective, creative, nurturing. I started reconnecting with the part of me that leads gently, not loudly.

This painting is not just about wolves.

It’s about the moment you stop performing and start softening.

It’s about the intuitive deep kind of confidence that doesn’t need an audience.

The grounded kind that comes from being anchored in your truth.

The kind that lets you take up space without having to shout for it.

Wolves, to me, represent presence, protection, wisdom and most of all, trust. They don’t question who they are. They simply are.

This piece is a visual reminder that softness isn’t the opposite of strength.

Embrace and accept who you are, that inner you, she’s calling you, she’s guiding your way back home.

“In Tender Silence”

This artwork reminds you to notice when self-doubt or comparison appear. While painting these wolves, I thought about the calm confidence that comes from accepting yourself and trusting your inner voice. This piece is for anyone learning to trust themselves, grow, and love their journey.

A Note To You

If you’ve ever felt like you had to perform confidence or mould yourself to fit a louder world because you don’t think you’re enough as you are.

This is your permission to stop.

You don’t have to raise your voice to be powerful. You don’t have to become someone else to be worthy. You don’t have to prove that you’re enough to anyone else.

You already are.

Let your softness speak. Let your quiet power guide you.

And let that be more than enough.
